After a long Michigan winter, May is finally here. In 2026, the local community 
calendar is leaning heavily into outdoor traditions. Here are the non-negotiables for your May 
calendar: 
    ● Plymouth Farmers Market: Starts May 9th (8:00 AM – 12:30 PM) at The Gathering. 
    ● Music in the Air (Plymouth): The Friday night concert series in Kellogg Park kicks off 
May 29th at 7:00 PM. 
    ● Family Fishing Frenzy (Canton): May 9th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Heritage Park. 
Ponds are fully stocked! 
    ● Mother’s Day Tea & Ballet (Canton): May 9th (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) at Summit on the 
Park, featuring the Northville Ballet Theatre. 
    ● Flower Day (Brighton): On May 16th, Downtown Brighton transforms into a botanical 
garden from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
